What I do on your website every month
What almost nobody does on time, and what prevents nasty surprises.
Updates without breaking anything
I update WordPress, the theme and the plugins, then check that the form, the shop or the bookings still work. If an update causes problems, it is rolled back.
Backups that can actually be restored
Daily backups of files and database, with restore. On the Professional plan they are also stored outside your hosting. A backup that has never been tested is useless: I check it can be recovered.
Security and uptime monitoring
Automatic alert if the site goes down, firewall and malware scanning. On the Professional plan, advanced security with an application firewall. That way a problem is caught early, not months later.
One hour of changes a month
Change some text, upload photos, update prices or publish a post. You ask, I do it, without you having to learn WordPress.
Jargon-free monthly report
What was updated, the state of the backups, any incidents and what I recommend. Short and clear.
Why it matters: a real case
September 2026, several WordPress websites on the same hosting.
What nobody could see
The websites worked, but Google was seeing spam pages that visitors were never shown. There were fake administrators created in the database and a file manager plugin used as a backdoor.
What had to be done
Reinstall WordPress from clean sources, remove backdoors and fake users, remove unknown owners from Google Search Console and lock down access. Several days of work.
What was put in place afterwards
Daily off-hosting backups and automatic monitoring that alerts as soon as a new user or file appears.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if I don’t maintain my WordPress site?
Nothing at first. But plugins and WordPress itself release security patches every few weeks; without updates, sooner or later someone exploits a known flaw. Most people find out when Google flags the site as dangerous or the contact form stops working.
What does the monthly hour of changes include?
Changing text, photos, prices or links, publishing a post you send me, or a small design tweak. The hour does not roll over; if you need more, there are 5-hour (€150) and 10-hour (€270) packs.
Is there a minimum term?
No. You pay month to month and can stop whenever you like. No setup fee.
Does my website have to be built by you?
No. I maintain WordPress sites built by anyone. Before starting I review its condition and tell you if anything needs fixing first.
What if it is already hacked or broken?
It is cleaned or fixed first, quoted separately, and then it goes into maintenance so it does not happen again.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. I can maintain your clients’ websites under your brand: you handle the relationship and I do the technical work, with reports under your brand.
