AI search SEO: help ChatGPT and Google understand and recommend your business

More and more customers ask ChatGPT or Gemini instead of searching on Google. I prepare your website so these assistants understand it, trust it and cite it when someone asks about what you do.

How AI assistants decide who to recommend

There are no tricks or paid positions. They rely on what they can read and on who talks about you.

They read your website

If your website does not make clear what you do, where and for whom, the assistant cannot recommend you with confidence. Vague copy without facts does not help.

They search the web

Many answers rely on results from search engines such as Google or Bing. If you are not properly indexed, it is hard to be cited.

They cross-check other sources

Directories, reviews, articles and business profiles. If your details match everywhere, you are a more reliable source.

They prefer concrete answers

Indicative prices, steps, FAQs and clear explanations get cited far more than generic text.

What I do on your website

Technical and content work, explained without jargon.

01

Review of how they see you today

I ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google what your customers would ask and note whether you appear, what they say about you and which sources they use. That is our starting point.

Starting pointWith a clear report
02

Technical foundation

Speed, indexing in Google and Bing, sitemap, structured data (schema) for your business, services and FAQs, and correct access for AI crawlers in your robots.txt. Where it fits, an llms.txt file too.

What robots read
03

Content that answers

I rewrite or create the key pages so they clearly answer your customers' questions: what you do, roughly what it costs, how you work and who it is for. No filler.

What people read
04

Presence beyond your website

Consistent details on Google Business Profile, directories in your sector and professional profiles. Assistants check these sources to cross-reference.

05

Measurement

I set up analytics to see visits coming from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai and other assistants, and repeat the control questions periodically.

Knowing if it works

Who it makes sense for

Mainly businesses that get customers through enquiries.

Firms and professionals

Lawyers, advisers, clinics, consultants: people ask AI "who can help me with…?".

Local businesses

When someone asks for "a good place for… in my city", consistent details make the difference.

Services with questions before buying

If your customers ask a lot before buying, those answers on your website are what AI ends up citing.

WordPress websites

I mostly work with WordPress, but the review and the content work for any website.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay to appear in ChatGPT?

No. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity do not sell positions in their answers. What you can do is make your website easy to understand, trustworthy and cited by others, which is what they rely on to recommend a business.

Does AI search SEO replace Google SEO?

No, it complements it. Much of what AI assistants need is the same as what Google needs: a fast, well-structured website with content that answers real questions. Many assistant answers also rely on web search results.

What is the llms.txt file?

A text file at the root of your website that summarises who you are and which pages matter, written for language models. It is a recent proposal: not every assistant reads it, but it costs little and helps organise your information.

How long until I see results?

It depends on your website and your sector. Technical changes are applied in days; search engines and assistants take weeks to pick them up. I tell you what to measure so you know whether it works.

How do I know if ChatGPT recommends me?

By asking the questions your customers would ask and noting whether you appear and which sources are used. It also shows in analytics: visits coming from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai or gemini.google.com.

Does it work for a small or local business?

Yes, sometimes even better: a local business that is clearly described, with consistent details on its website, Google Business Profile and directories, has an easier time than a big brand with messy information.

Does AI already recommend you?

I review how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google see you today and tell you what I would change first. Fixed quote, in writing.
